Still in the planning stage, but the date is set! Block out August 19th through the 21st for the event of the year…keep up with us on the website as we give more details throughout the coming months.

Homesteading Workshop

I wanted to thank Mike, Veronica, Buddy, Liz, Nicole, Thomas and of course little Gunnar for joining us for the first of many Homestead workshops (on February 20th). It was truly enjoyable to share our home, food and ideas with those of you who made it out here. Despite the recent dumping of almost half a foot of snow, I am very excited about the upcoming gardening year and am counting the days until I can start the doing instead of just the planning. Nick and I have very ambitious goals for our little farm this year and I hope the next workshop finds new guests as well as our original members able to join us. Remember, as long as you have a sunny spot somewhere near your home, you can make something grow! You don’t need a 1/3 of an acre to plant a tomato or grow a pot of herbs. Come find out what even the urban household can achieve!

Homesteading workshop #2 will be about the planting. What to plant and when along with some useful tips. Also we will have a little treat for anyone attending the next event. Grow bags, seed and assorted other goodies. See you then.
